Too good to be true? I bought a $15 "Logitech G304" from AliExpress, and let’s just say, it wasn't the deal I hoped for. From dodgy clicks to dead batteries in days, here’s everything you need to know before you waste your money on this convincing-looking fake.
When I saw a Logitech G304/G305 wireless gaming mouse on AliExpress for just around $15 AUD, I thought I found an amazing deal. These mice typically go for $50-80+ in retail stores. But after using it for a week, it became very clear: this isn’t a genuine Logitech mouse, it’s a knockoff, and a disappointing one at that.
First Impressions: Looks Can Be Deceiving
At a glance, it looks almost identical to the real G304/G305:
- Same ergonomic shape
- Same button layout
- Same Logitech “G” logo placement on the mouse and dongle
But on closer inspection, the differences are obvious:
- The logo is poorly printed, slightly blurred and off-center
- The plastic feels cheap and the finish is more matte than the original
- The scroll wheel feels loose, and there’s subtle creaking in the shell
- The light indicator feels cheap
A Closer Look at the Product
No Software Support
One of the dead giveaways that it's not a real Logitech product:
